L.Z. attempted to proceed with caution but fell off an unsecured loading dock severely fracturing his wrist and finger. Though the school district fought hard to deny liability and claimed that the light was working, the lawyers at Cohn & Swartzon, P.C. were able to get several witnesses to admit in deposition that the light was not working and that the light had been changed after L.Z.'s fall. This evidence helped Cohn & Swartzon obtain a settlement for L.Z. which paid off all of his substantial medical bills and provided him with proceeds to cover his pain and suffering.
